KISS lanzará la edición Super Deluxe del 45 aniversario de ‘Destroyer’
Celebrando su 45 aniversario, «Destroyer» fue lanzado originalmente en 1976 y se considera uno de los álbumes más grandes KISS. Es el primer álbum de la banda en vender un millón de copias en su primer año y tiene el título de ser su álbum de estudio más vendido de todos los tiempos. Repleto de clásicos de KISS, incluidos «Detroit Rock City», «Shout It Out Loud», «God Of Thunder» y «Beth», el 19 de noviembre de 2021, UMe lanzará «KISS – Destroyer 45th» en el formato de una caja de audio Super Deluxe de 4 CD + Blu-ray, así como en vinilo negro doble estándar y vinilo de doble color amarillo y rojo de edición limitada, juego de 2 CD y digital.
Para la grabación de «Destroyer», Bob Ezrin fue contratado como el nuevo productor de KISS, ayudando a la banda a alcanzar nuevos niveles, tanto sonora como creativamente. El álbum también mostró el crecimiento de la banda como músicos y compositores, experimentando con nuevos sonidos que llegaron en la forma del lado más suave de canciones como «Do You Love Me?» y canciones cargadas de arreglos orquestales que incluyen «Great Expectations» y su sencillo «Beth» de Billboard No. 7.
El CD 1 incluye el álbum original recientemente remasterizado en Abbey Road Mastering, mientras que el CD 2 incluye 15 demos de los archivos personales de Paul Stanley y Gene Simmons, nueve de los cuales no fueron publicados anteriormente.
El CD 3 está repleto de tomas descartadas de estudio, versiones / mezclas alternativas y ediciones individuales, sobre todo una nueva mezcla simplificada para «Beth (Acoustic Mix)», y el CD 4 contiene una actuación electrizante de la visita de la banda a París Francia en el L’Olympia el 22 de mayo de 1976. Para el disco de audio Blu-ray, se contrató a Steven Wilson para crear una mezcla Dolby Atmos y sonido envolvente 5.1 del álbum de estudio original más dos pistas extra, «Beth (Acoustic Mix ) «y» Sweet Pain (Solo de guitarra original) «, este último con el solo de guitarra grabado original de Ace Frehley que no se publicó en el álbum de estudio (esta pista está disponible en el proyecto» Destroyer: Resurrected «de 2012).
